Does anyone know the max speed for a 2010 wrx bone stock ? Is there a fuel cutoff or speed limiter ?

I remember someone hitted 240-ish KM/H stock. was at the redline in 5th tho.
However i wouldnt try this, as our engine designs aren't meant for top speed Large bore / short stroke can rev high all day, but it's all about the 1-2-3 then no juice. Plus our oil pumps are notorious to be starving our bearings higher up in the revs.
Also, why would you want to do top speed in a WRX? Go buy an american car if you want to go fast on highways :

Just curious, I cant find anywhere even in major magazine tests, they show 0-60...1/4 but not top speed. thanks.

I thought they were limited to 135mph

as per road and track magazine. 140 mph top speed governor limited.

i am not sure if it is the top speed but 140 is the best i got when i was stock and stayed like that for a couple seconds and did not go up anymore. confirmed also from top speed on gps.

im not stupid enough to try and test it, with my luck a po-9 will be camping in the bushes and try to wack me. but im stage 3.52 govenor removed.

I was pretty comfortable around 140 mph and the rpm's had a comfortable amount of space from redline. Speedometer only reads 150 I believe, but last time I had a tune he set the limiter at something ridiculous like 244 mph... lol. Yeah, flat 4 turbo = no top end. Still had plenty to give, but real slow about getting there once you're up in that range (even in 4th a bit you can tell with the gearing on the wrx's). I would never touch speeds like that on a stock handling set up though. I ran out of open straight-away so I couldn't tell you if the limiter kicks in there like Noypi09 says he read or not.

this is my 08 wrx with an 06 wrx trans and rear end (longer gearing) and it was still pulling hard as shit. i saw over 150 before i ran out of road. i am in no way saying that the speedo is accurate at that speed tho. btw my revlimeter is closet to 7250.

everything was very stable during the run to 140 even though i was completely stock back then... it stayed there for a while before i let off. 4th gear still pulling good till 5th 125 130 took the longest from 130-140... i checked my GPS after the run to make sure my speedo was accurate and it said 140 top speed so it is accurate!

What's worse than trying to hit 150 mph in a Subaru WRX (On a public highway?)....Taking a picture of your cluster while doing it, lol.

I thought I saw 150's on a spec sheet from a hot hatch comparo and 4.7 0-60 and 13.5 quarter mile?

I'll be honest. I hit maybe 101 in 3rd while doing pulls for logging once, and haven't gone past that.
